Review of Astrological Readings #Election2016

July 11, 2016

Well, it’s taken just over a week for the result to be clear that Malcolm Turnbull won the election. I predicted a Bill Shorten win and I was wrong. I also said that if the result differed from my forecast that people should not blame the Stars but look at my interpretation.

Now is the right time to explain the rationale of my astrological method and I hope when I do you will see the method did produce a correct result, it’s just that I ticked a wrong box.

Using transits as an astrological method of prediction is very old- at least 5,000 years. It is simply seeing where the planets are at a future date from the date and time of birth and looking at these positions together. The birth chart is the blue print of the life and as the planets and stars move across the skies they move over the original blueprint of the life. The positions of these heavenly bodies apart from making angles to each others’ current position also make angles to their original birth position. Thus we have a double chart with the person’s birth chart in the centre and the passing transit planets the outer chart. As we see here:

In the 20th Century, Astrology took on a humanistic approach influenced by psychological theories, especially Carl Jung. Astrological effects, from this perspective, were inner, psychological influences and experiences. Gone were the more ancient concepts of “Good and Bad Stars”, of Stars determining an individual’s Fate. So, “Bad” became “challenging” and “Good” became “harmonious” for the inner world of the individual ie their psychological state.

Looking at and analysing transits from this psychological perspective means that we are looking at the influence of the planets on the inner psychological state of the individual. So “Good” transits will give good, positive emotional experiences and “Bad” transits will give bad, negative emotional experiences. Obviously within this duality of “Good and Bad” there’s a spectrum and within this spectrum there are nuanced interpretations. This is where the Angles and the Orbs come in to assist in reading the nuanced spectrum of emotional experience.

I took the simple formula that if an individual experiences good, positive emotional vibes then the outer world the individual is immersed in will also be positive. So, my simple formula meant that if Bill Shorten or Malcolm Turnbull experienced positive transits then these positive planetary positions signalled a win and vice versa.

The astrological readings of the Election 2016 (written about 3 months before the election) showed that Bill Shorten will experience progressively positive emotional states and that he would grow in confidence until the election and beyond. This is why I called a win for ALP. Conversely, the readings showed that Turnbull was in trouble emotionally and thus he would lose.

What is also interesting about these readings is that at the time of publishing everybody was writing Bill Shorten off. Malcolm Turnbull’s popularity was fading but no mainstream media journalist could see the possibility of an ALP win. The astrological readings here did.

If we look at what happened on 2 July, 2016 – Election Day, psychologically, Bill Shorten was ecstatic and Malcolm Turnbull was not a very happy man.

This is why I said at the beginning of this post that the reading was correct, it was just that I ticked the wrong box because I had the wrong question. If the question was – who would be the happiest on 2 July, 2016, and I answered Bill Shorten, there would be no question about the correctness of my reading.

However, I didn’t answer that question. I answered who would win the election and I was wrong.

I also tried an experimental reading a few days before the election because I and others wanted something a bit more current than the readings I made three months before. As we all know, the planets move at their own inexorable pace and the only way I could think of giving us another more current view was to do something different. I decided that since the election would affect our country, Australia, perhaps a transit analysis of Australia on Election day would give us an insight.

Some people are surprised that a country can have an astrological chart too. The reality is that ANYTHING that has a beginning or a birth can have a chart. There are stock market traders who use astrology to trade companies and corporations who use the birth of the company as its horoscope! Many Forex traders take note of the day to day transits over Foreign Exchanges – like London, New York ,Sydney and Tokyo. People would be surprised to learn that many Asian businesses and stock market traders use their own native methods of Astrology to assist their projections and investment strategies.

Events also have a birth and I have used this for the Cultural Stomp 1997, Woomera 2002, Baxter 2003 and the Flotillas of Hope 2004. I have also used it for some important TAFE projects I managed. Mind you, I never told anyone who worked with me at TAFE I did this because I knew they’d think I was crazy. Not bragging here, but I won National and State TAFE Quality Awards for different projects I initiated and coordinated that had astrological support. The astrological readings of these gave me insights I could never get from any other source and the confidence to push ahead and be immersed in the events. Astrology also gave me the appropriate time  to leave TAFE and start on another journey in my life.

Coming back to Australia and its horoscope – I read the transits of the Election Day and I saw that the Election would be very close and a result delayed for quite a while. I did the reading on 30 June, 2016 and that is exactly what happened. Indeed, it took over a week for Bill Shorten to concede defeat and we still don’t know the final result yet as of today, 10 July, 2016.

Election Bi Chart Canberra transit with Australia

I found doing Australia’s Chart an interesting challenge because I couldn’t empathise in a “psychological” way as I did with Shorten and Turnbull because I was dealing with a country. I had to refocus my “imagining” and surprisingly it took an engine like imaging where the planetary forces became “brake and accelerator” like. It is difficult to describe but I will just say it was an energetic reading whereas the Shorten/Turnbull readings were psychological.

Some have asked me to continue my astrological readings given the current state of play in Australia’s governance. If I do I will have to work out how to read the Senate and its relationship to the Government. Do I use the day the new Senate sits for the first time as its Birth date? What about Bill Shorten and Malcolm Turnbull, will regular astrological updates assist in reading the political ambience? I don’t know but I’m willing to explore these possibilities.

Thanks to all who have supported me in my astrological deliberations. I do this because it’s fun and because I now know there are others who find it interesting I may continue exploring this incredible and mysterious mode of “knowing” in Australian politics.

Predicting Election Results With Astrology

Bill Shorten

Malcolm Turnbull

Introduction

This is a reading of Australia’s Chart on Election Day 2 July, 2016. If you want to read the delineation of Australia’s “Character” please see this post.

My other readings on Bill Shorten and Malcolm Turnbull were based on looking at the transits (the position of planets passing over the natal chart) of their charts for the period of time leading up to and including the election date 2 July, 2016.

I used this system of prediction because it was the simplest and accorded with my view of Astrology. As an experiment I thought I’d try to do the same with Australia’s Horoscope. Some are surprised that a country has its own horoscope. To draw up a country’s chart we need the same data as a person – time, date and place. In Australia’s case I have taken the date when Australia became a Federation – the Swearing In Ceremony in Sydney, Centennial Park, 1 January, 1901 at 1.35PM.

I asked myself, what were the planets doing over Australia’s chart and is it possible to make a reading using the same technique I used with both contenders to give me an insight into the election result?

I’ve never done this before and this is why it is experimental.

The answer is this reading.

Please remember while reading this interpretation that my other two readings show an ALP win outright.

Enjoy

Pluto and its Position over Australia’s Sun

Pluto is often associated with death and regeneration which means the elimination of whatever is old and outworn and the birth of a new and higher order.

Having Pluto in the 9th House points to considerable change but it is not fast, it is gradual because Pluto stays in a House for a long time (about 20.6 years). We can say that the last couple of elections are a part of this positioning of Pluto. This shows that transformation and change has not ceased. We are witnessing this by the huge interest being shown to Parties other than the two majors. So, change is happening and a stable, quiet time politically is not going to happen for a few years more.

Now coupling the 9th House placement, Pluto is almost in conjunction to the natal Sun. It is 6 degrees off a full one on one 0 degrees. Some Astrologers consider a conjunction to be anywhere between 0 and up to 8 degrees. I like to keep conjunctions to a tight orbit of up to 3 degrees. If Pluto was within 1 degree over the top of Australia’s Sun I would have no hesitation in calling out a great and powerful change was in the air.

So, since it is 6 degrees I’m calling a change but within the auspices of a hung parliament.

July 1, 2016 (July 1, 2016 to July 2, 2016) Sun Opposite (180 degrees) Sun

This is a an Election transit because our country, is getting feedback to where we are going. It is the transiting Sun looking at the Sun of Australia’s chart.

July 3, 2016 (July 3, 2016 to July 4, 2016) Mercury Opposite (180 degrees) Saturn

Though this transit starts to be exact the day after the election it still shows the feeling / vibe around the Election. There is a need for reflection and a heavy sense that is critical and perhaps pessimistic. This points to a hung parliament and a clear result won’t be known quickly.

It also points to a separation from what has been to choosing a new way.

Looks like a hung parliament with an ALP win – which won’t be known immediately.

 June 23, 2016 (June 9, 2016 to July 10, 2016) Saturn Square (90 degrees) Mars

This planetary pattern points to frustration and a feeling that we have not moved  and progressed at all. There is a feeling of obstacles in front of any “moving forward”.

June 24, 2016 (15 Jun 2016 to 2 Jul 2016) Jupiter Square (90 degrees) Pluto

This pattern supports the same feeling of a struggle to move forward.

Conclusion:

Everything points to a hung parliament and the need for some time to form a new government. However, it could also show a very narrow win by ALP, say by one or two seats. It looks like there will be a change of government, perhaps a negotiated ALP win.

Twitter Election 2 close 2 call for blog

Interesting excerpt from a Monthly editorial  by Sean Kelly about Mainstream Media just after the Election 2016.

Twitter Analysis Media from Monthly for 2016 Election blog

So, here we have it. The media got it so wrong because their expectations clouded their journalistic perceptions. Journalists did not have an objective platform from which to view the political landscape. The only guide was national public polling and statements from Party strategists. Kelly says that journalists have to “scavange information where they are able” and that this information, coloured by Parties’ assertions influenced, indeed, directed commentary!

Now, if they were a bit more open to “scavange information” from other sources than just the typical Press Gallery Universe of Information they may discover another objective platform. This platform though ridiculed in recent times has informed and directed Emporors, Kings, Queens and political leaders for over 5,000 years. This platform is easily obtainable, incredibly accurate and can be verified by every scientific forum including NASA. This platform is the astronomical positions of the Stars and Planets.

There is no doubting the veracity of  Star and Planet positions. It is only when the “onomy” of Astronomy changes to “ology” as in Astrology that there’s a credibility problem. This credibility problem only ensues if the information gathered from a “reading” of the Astronomy claims to be scientific. If the imaginative reading of Astronomical facts is considered to be art – poetry  then its credibility shouldn’t be an issue. Do people question the credibility of poetry or art? No, they may critique its aesthetic value but not whether it is fact. No interpretation is free from subjectivity so there is no factual interpretation. There is just a particular individual’s subjective point of view expressed in the interpretation. Making an Astrological reading of astronomical facts is just as “true” as a journalistic reading of polling facts. I would argue that astronomical data is more factual than polls.

So, what does an Astrological political reading give? It gives an imaginative interpretation of astronomical facts imbued with mythology, symbolism, history, political commentary and polls. It takes into account much of the “scavanged information” of the journalist and adds another dimension of meaning extracted from cultural history. It also adds another element – the intuitive – instinctive feeling within the astrologer. This of course is subjective but you know being a human with a working mind means all meaning is subjective.

My astrological readings of Australia’s 2016 Election were just my interpretation of all the factors mentioned above. The Stars and Planets gave my understanding a scaffolding and a platform from which I could express my feelings of what is happening politically in Australia.

Star Code Reading > Abbott & Possible Easter Spill

January 17, 2016

Someone on Twitter  asked me what I thought about a current  Canberra rumour. Apparently,  Abbott will  attempt to knock over Turnbull around Easter, 2016. I had to  look at his chart again just to see if this was possible.  Here’s the Tweet that sparked it all:

Abbott April 2016 spill

Before I jump into it I’d like to say a few words about what all this astro stuff does for me in the political context. We all have opinions and feelings about news items, rumours, gossip and maybe real inside info.  I like to pass  these through a “numerological” filter because it gives structure to my feelings, guesses and ideas. It is no more than that – a filter which supplies me with a basis for guessing outcomes.  Please read my post on Guerilla Ontology for clarification.

My last post on Abbott predicted his downfall and so it happened.  Whilst the date was a little off, it was still better than the “expert” political commentators who get paid to surmise and synthesise insider political tidbits of info into a comprehensive vision of what may happen. The tidbits an astrologer has is the birthday, time and location of birth. That’s it!  Of course the interpretation depends on the astrologer’s skill.

Below is a combined chart of Abbott’s horoscope in the centre with the chart of 1 April, 2016 in Canberra.  I picked Canberra because that is where Australian Federal politics happen.  I chose 12.00AM because it’s all one big guess as to what time if anything will happen. However, given the motion of planets a few weeks, days or hours don’t matter that much.  I’m trying to see the “emotional weather” within Abbott’s being.

Abbott April 2016 transits

For most of you this chart means zilch but for others  familiar with astrology it says a lot.

Saturn conjunct Saturn: 17 January 2016 – the Great Saturn Return

The first thing to notice is the Great Saturn Return. It’s interesting that this rumor should be out and about on this date because it is the first exact conjunction (meaning same place) of Saturn over Abbott’s Saturn at time of his birth.

This transit indicates Saturn has made a complete revolution around a chart (and the Sun), bringing its stabilising and maturing influence to each part of one’s  life.  Life decisions are made  based on what we want rather than what others think we should do.  The increased responsibility and lessons Saturn brings are annoying  “growing pains” if taken the right way or catastrophic if not.  This happens every 29 – 30 years and is one of the most powerful  signs of either great positive change about to happen or great pain if you are not living in “good faith”.

This transit both begins and ends a new cycle in terms of career. Whatever steps anyone takes during this transit greatly affects their future. So, for Abbott his emotional weather will include the feeling of “do it now or die” that comes with the second Saturn Return (about 58 – 59 years of age). He may also feel he is making up lost time and therefore having to work hard and make every minute count to build the next step of his career.  Abbott has a huge ego and he will have his legacy in mind and what the history books will record about him.

He will also feel he doesn’t have to put up with unsatisfactory conditions and circumstances which do not fit his political vision and of his future legacy. He won’t be scared of leaving behind outdated people and connections from his life because he feels their passing will only make room for the new. Indeed, he will feel that cutting his ties from what is expected of him will facilitate his own growth. He feels how scary such an attitude is but the changes are needed more than ever.

Abbott is a warrior. He will feel in his guts and heart the only thing to do now is to take on Turnbull if he is true to his conscience. It may sound like crap to us but in his heart and mind he believes his conservatism that includes the monarchy – Queen and Country – Sir Philip is the right thing for Australia. As far he is concerned Turnbull is Labor Lite and a disgusting social progressive who will not only bring in a Republic but also legalise same sex marriage. Both of these are anathema to Abbott’s vision of Australia.

From just looking at Abbott’s Saturn Return I think he will take on Turnbull and if he doesn’t win he will create a new right wing party. This new Right Wing Down Under Tea Party headed by Tony Abbott may win Senate seats. Abbott’s intention is to ensure Conservative control of Upper House, so even if he is not PM he still has a major say in what happens to Australia politically.

Now let’s look at other important signs.

Saturn sextile Ascendant: 3 February 2016

The Ascendant is an important part of a chart. It is one of 4 Angles and anything that touches on the Angles has a strong influence. The Ascendant is where we show our face, it is the Mask, the Personality we present to the world.

Since it is Saturn which is making an impact on this Angle and given our previous statements about Abbott’s Saturn Return, this aspect shows Abbott will be clarifying his views of himself through others’ eyes. He will be seeking out other peoples’ opinions of himself as a person (primarily as Leader) and as a valuable contributor to the conservative cause.

With Saturn here it indicates he will be getting advice from older people. I wouldn’t be surprised that these will include Howard, Pell, Flint and the ghost of B A Santamaria.

Abbott will be taking his role in Australian society very seriously now. He will be conscious of patterns in his life and will become more disciplined in his approach rather than fall into habitual patterns of behaviour. He will feel that whatever he does during this period will affect his future prospects for years to come. In fact, he will feel it will affect his future image for centuries to come from his legacy as recorded in Australian History.

With this transit he will not be feeling happy and care free but rather there is a huge weight of Australia’s future culture on his shoulders.

Uranus oppose Jupiter: 4 March 2016

This transit occurs only once in each 84-year cycle of Uranus and is a time for Abbott to proceed with caution.  He will likely be presented with many new challenges not including those he will seek out for his legacy. Sudden changes will occur that will require his immediate action.  Sudden gains or losses are possible at this time.  Which one it will be, depends largely on how much Abbott is paying attention. He may feel like he’s catching a great wave while surfing in his budgie snugglers but his timing may be out and he may get dumped – big time.

His warrior disposition and attitude will allow him to take on big risks as he is building his support base to take Turnbull on. His big ego will make him feel overly optimistic. The promises he will make to his support base may not be as easy to keep as he thinks. His feeling that everything is destined to go his way is not worth it because this transit is not particularly lucky.

Jupiter sextile Mercury: 9 March 2016

Abbott has an unusually sharp mind now and can communicate his ideas to others very clearly.  It is an excellent time for planning and strategizing, and he will exercise good judgement in making decisions.  He is very sure of himself and should obtain a good level of support.

His friends will bring good news and maybe even bring Abbott new political opportunities.  He may receive a communication from someone out of his past who will encourage his endeavor to topple Turnbull.

In general, this transit is excellent  for all kinds of communication, both in politics  and socially. Since it is also a good transit for writing and publishing we may see one or more articles in NewsCorpse.

For the doubters in Liberal National Party during this transit it is more likely Abbott could achieve a meeting of minds now.  Since he is more confident and optimistic, he is more willing to compromise.

Abbott’s keen attention to detail allows him  to make successful plans now.  This is the influence of Jupiter and Abbott can if he is motivated use these increased mental capabilities to further his plans to topple Turnbull.

Mars square Pluto: 12 March 2016

This combination can allow Abbott’s true inner despot to appear if challenged. There could be angry scenes and potential “violence”. This transit shows Abbott’s chances of winning the Leadership from Turnbull are poor.

CONCLUSION

From looking at Abbott’s chart his plan to topple Turnbull at Easter, 2016 won’t last the distance. It seems that by mid – end of March events will conspire to expose the angry authoritarian Abbott. This may be the beginning of the split in LNP with Abbott leading a far right new party. The purpose of this new Party is to get as many seats in the Senate so that Abbott and his Conservative arsehole dinosaurs control the political destiny of our country. He only needs to win a few seats to have balance of power in the Senate.

By the way, I hope he does try to win leadership back from Turnbull because the chaos that will ensue from that action will be marvelous to behold. Abbott is deluded  and has many traits of a sociopath.

The astrological reading above may only happen because he has crazy egotistic tendencies. The more he fucks up, the more likely we will see the end of LNP government – the party of the 1%ers.

The Australian Election – An Astrological Forecast

August 27, 2013

The forecast below was made on 27 August, 2013.  It was wrong about who will be PM but psychologically was kinda correct. When Rudd accepted defeat he was surprisingly “happy” as the chart showed about his emotions on the night. Abbott may well have experienced a jolt when he recognised his win carried the weight of responsibility of Prime Ministership.

Regardless, I was wrong in my prediction  and I’ve learnt something. One of the things the exercise of drawing up the charts did was it gave me hope for a week. It was also a great mental/emotional exercise in that the process allowed an objectification of feelings and thoughts, so allowed me to be more detached. If the result is seen as a secondary consideration and the process, the means of arriving at the result, is primary then the exercise was a success. This is by no means a rationalisation of getting the wrong result. It is a statement of fact. As the saying goes, it is the journey not arriving at the destination that is the fun part. This is true of astrologising.

Will I do it again? Yes, for all the reasons I stated above. It was an interesting exercise in ordering my feelings, intuitions and thoughts about the Australian Election, 2013.

===================================================================================================================

The chances of accurately predicting an election by pollsters and journalists are pretty dismal. If I toss a coin, there’s a 50:50 chance of being right. That’s not bad compared to some political commentators’ predictions.

A few years ago I came across an interesting article that said nearly 80% of astrologers who attempted, accurately predicted the 2012 USA Election outcome at least 3 months and one 26 years before hand! In his 1976 book “The Astrological Chart of the United States, from 1776 to 2141” Gar Osten wrote that the year 2012 would see the “re-election of the incumbent president”.

Intrigued I looked further into it because an 80% correct result is not bad considering most mainstream media had written Obama off before the election. A prediction 26 years beforehand is mind blowing.

I looked into each of the astrologers’ forecasting methods and predictive techniques. I wanted to filter out all approaches that were foreign to my approach and/or would require a level of expertise I didn’t have. By the end of this looking I found one I could adapt to my approach.

It was the simplest.

Now, I’m aware that most of you reading this have a critical and sceptical view on astrology.

For this reason, I’ve wracked my brains over how to structure what I want to say about the coming election because I use astrology as a tool for understanding life. If I wasn’t using this tool to make sense of current political atmospherics and wrote an opinion piece instead, I’d have no worries. For some reason the mention of astrology gets peoples’ backs up and they immediately throw an Art that works with Time into the recycle bin.

Most people are happy to read opinions and commentary based on other biased opinions and commentary churned out in mainstream media. An opinion based on astronomical data ie number, generated by an active imaginative interpretation of this is “superstitious”. However, an opinion based from within a Press Gallery Reality Bubble is not. Is the Press Gallery commentary scientific? No, just an opinion embalmed in a mainstream media consensus reality.

The stars and planets I’m concerned with are archetypal forces, mytho-poetic currents within humanity. Astrology for me is a means of exploring the edges of rational thought as it touches the unknown. The horoscope is like a semi permeable membrane, it can suspend the ordinary associative processes of the mind and allow a different kind of attention to manifest. This attention, striking off from the symbolic elements of the horoscope gives a different kind of mind environment. Psychologists call it imagination.

This way of looking at astrology is not accepted by most astrologers because it banishes star forces, energies, vibrations etc of the external planets and stars. This way of looking at astrology is troublesome for many because it says there is NO intrinsic meaning to the planets. It also points the way to divination. Divinatory astrology puts it on par with other mantic arts – like Tarot and the I Ching. To many astrologers this is anathema because they like to consider it as a “science”.

Some have referred to this kind of astrology as Hermeneutic Astrology:

Hermeneutics is the study of meaning, of how we arrive at our interpretations of things. In the context of astrology the term implies a turning away from the common assumption that a fixed astrological meaning is simply “there”, in front of us, as some sort of fact of nature. The hermeneutic inquiry in astrology reveals the essential dependency of the meaning of symbols on the act of interpretation of that meaning. Seen in this way, horoscope interpretation involves something other than a supposed pre-existent meaning waiting to be decoded, and depends both on the context in which meaning is sought, as well as on the intentionality of the one making the interpretation.” (Cornelius, Geoffrey, C. 1994. “The Moment of Astrology: Origins in Divination”)

I like to consider this way of looking at astrology as a poetic interpretation of astronomical data. Poetry from numbers and geometry – active imagination in action. One can explore consciousness and imagination deeper and look at the structures of mind and the material that appears as is done in various and diverse ways by Phenomenology. I just like to play on the edge of reason, that spot between sanity and insanity, where all the wild creatures are 😉

Sometimes, in flickering moments, astrologising can be vision. A “vision – feeling” into another world that is holographic in structure, energetic and alive. In these rare glimpses, a human and the universe are seen as the same organism. As above so below, Hermes Trismegistus says. A different relationship exists between things – or at least that is what appears when astrological Sun glasses are worn.

I’m reminded of a Zen saying, “Don’t look at the finger pointing to the Moon, look at the Moon.”

All this astrological stuff is just a pointing finger.

This is not the place to argue the case for this ancient Art. If you are interested in how I perceive Astrology please click on these links on my blog.

An Astrological Turning

I recommend if you want to know more about astrological symbolism as used here visit Wikipedia’s Horoscope . At times I will link other keywords to brief you.

Here goes – if my prediction is wrong, blame it on my reading, not the stars.

“If there is dust on our lens, we see dark spots in the heavens.” Carlos Suares

Astrology has a method that forecasts “background” emotional weather of people for a certain time and place. By looking at the position of planets passing over the birth chart, astrology reveals the feelings engendered by the relationship between the planets and their position. The angles between them and their position in the chart speak. It is a language. It’s kind of geometrical / numerological in nature. Forget science, there’s no science to this – it is structured guessing using faint star signals from the symbols. It is always an approximation, a walk into the dark.

There’s no question that becoming Prime Minister would make either Rudd or Abbott smile, if not dance. Losing would be devastating and a stiff upper lip not enough to hide it.

How will Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott “FEEL” at 6 PM  September 7, 2013? I assume by then Australia would know who won the election, unless it’s a hung parliament.

Who will be happy and focussed, looking forward to leading this country as PM? Kevin or Tony?

Who will be shocked by losing and wondering what went wrong? Tony or Kevin?

Who will be happy?

Who will be sad?

Who will be Prime Minister?

The method I’m using shows what feelings / energies are present in the charts of the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition at 6PM September 7, 2013.

The chart with the best “feel good” vibe is the winner. The prize being government.

Some interesting information:

This will be the 5th Federal Election held in September (1914, 1934, 1940 & 1946)

The 1914 vote is the only September election to have seen an incumbent government defeated.

There has not been a Scorpio Prime Minister elected in Australia since Federation.

That last bit is important because Tony Abbott is a Scorpio. Kevin Rudd is a Virgo.

Prediction

Kevin Rudd will be PM with either a Labor majority or a hung parliament.

How did I come to this conclusion?

Please look at table below which shows what each sign/symbol represents so I don’t have to show each symbol every time I mention it. I am trying to interpret an astrological view point to those who are not literate in star language. For the purposes of this post all you have to do, if you are not familiar with astrological symbolism, is look at the charts and refer to the tables below to know what symbol and position they represent.

 Blog Prediction Zodiac Planets

Kevin Rudd’s Transits Chart for 7 September, 2013 at 6.00PM

Blog Prediction Rudd Transits 7 Sept 2013

Above, in the centre is Kevin Rudd’s Birth Chart and the positions of the transiting planets on the outside. It shows the planets’ positions on September 7 over the planets’ positions at the time of Rudd’s birth – the transits. The planets are always moving and when transiting planets “touch” sensitive points on the birth chart, stuff happens. (Planets in Astrology)

Rudd’s chart shows the transiting Sun  in a section of the chart where mind expansion and open feelings predominate – philosophy, higher learning, travel are among the many meanings elicited by the Sun in that section – called the ninth House. (Houses in Astrology) Also here, there is a focus on communications – with people face to face and through media (transit Mercury over Sun).

I would call the feelings shown as positive, happy, calm and confident.

Notice the crescent shaped symbol of the Moon outside the circle is very close to the line separating the 9th and 10th House. Beneathe the Moon  is Jupiter and both are near the line. This line is the Midheaven, one of the 4 most powerful positions – the Angles of a chart. It is at the top of the chart and is the most public point. It relates to social standing and reputation. It represents our public face and our overall sense of responsibility and standing in our society.

It is in this context, the Prime Ministership of our country.

The feelings shown with the various combinations of the Moon, Jupiter and the Mid Heaven line include strong rapport with people and a deep intuitive understanding between them and Rudd. I think it will have something to do with the cutbacks Abbott plans to make along with the inequitable PPL. The planetary combinations also show that Rudd will be able to feel out the mood of the people so that he appeals to their deepest emotional concerns.

Having the Moon in the 10th House is also good for public relations.

Along with the planets nearby, Jupiter has Uranus opposite it at the bottom of the chart. Uranus is the planet of freedom and release. This combination shows there is a deep transformation happening in Rudd’s subconscious. His whole experience of the world will be quite different after this transit. The chart shows that he will feel liberated and vindicated.

He will be mentally sharp and alert because transit Mercury  is conjunct Sun in the 9th House. He will be very conscious of his purpose in leading Labor, and it enables him  to express that purpose clearly to others. His expression will be vigorous and impressive.

Along with this he has tremendous intellectual and mental energy conferred by transit Mercury conjunct Mars. This means that Rudd will feel he is able to work with his mind much longer than usual and accomplish quite a bit. This will give him more confidence about leading Australia as PM.

Kevin Rudd’s chart at the close of the election shows very positive feelings and thus has “feel good” vibes.

This points to a win.

Tony Abbott’s  Transits Chart for 7 September, 2013 at 6.00PM

Blog Prediction Abbott Transits 7 Sept 2013

Abbott’s chart shows the Sun in the 8th House. When this transit happens (it lasts about a month every year) there is significant psychological adjustment and transformation. Traditionally this is the House of Death, meaning Endings of things. In this context it means a death of some aspect of himself. On a more material level there is great concern about resources and finances. I believe it shows the end of his aspiration to be Prime Minister.

It is not a happy place to be so I would say this planetary combination has a  “bad feel” vibe.

It is not all bad because he has a good aspect /angle (sextile 60 deg) between the transit Sun and the Sun of his birth chart. This shows an integration of his energies and that he will be able to work effectively with others.

Abbott also has a good angle (trine 120 deg) between transit Jupiter and the Sun which shows he will be calm and confident and feeling he can do anything. He will also be able to see events clearly and plan well.

This is definitely a “good feel” vibe.

Note that the angle between Jupiter and the Sun is not as strong as a conjuction where the planets are on top of each other. All the strong “good vibe” points in Rudd’s chart are conjunctions.

Transit Moon directly opposite his birth chart Moon shows powerful emotions making it difficult for him to see any point of view other than his own. Strong potential for disagreement because he will feel his own interests and desires are opposed to others. This feeling may have something to do with losing election.

This is a “bad feel” vibe.

Transit Mars makes a conjunction with Uranus of Abbott’s birth chart. No other transit is more conducive than this one to sudden upsets, rash behaviour and surprising incidents. This will be the shock in finding he has lost the unloseable election.

This is a very “bad feel” vibe.

However, the transit of Saturn conjunct the Sun is what clinches my forecast that Abbott will lose the election. The energy of Saturn holds back the energy of the Sun. Saturn confines and restricts it so that he feels limited to do only certain things. Abbott will feel thwarted and his vision of becoming Prime Minister is now confined to the bin of history.

This also is a very “bad feel” vibe.

When you weigh both Astrological charts from the point of view of  being “happy” it is obvious that Kevin Rudd has the Prime Ministership.

I can only see two possibilities from the above – Kevin Rudd becomes Prime Minister with a Labor majority or in a hung parliament. Whichever – the next Prime Minister will be Kevin Rudd.

Reporters Without Media Mogul Borders

Citizen Journalist

I wrote Reporters Without Media Mogul Borders as a comment to a post by Sally Baxter Pity the poor journalist…  on the blog  Australians For Honest Politics. The blog is dedicated to Citizen Journalism.

Reporters Without Media Mogul Borders is an idea which takes into account the rapid move away from old media onto Social Media. The idea is an attempt to introduce participatory and democratic processes into journalism using the new mobile web technologies.

=====================================================================================

Readers by partnering with regional newspapers could be joint commissioners of stories forming a hub interconnected by the web. This hub can be across the country, indeed from across the planet, which can employ reporters to investigate issues of importance to local communities.

Readers would raise funds by crowd sourcing, perhaps using the model that GetUp uses to raise funds for advertisements in old media. Instead of using funds to pay for advertisements the funds would be used to pay for a reporter’s commission to write / investigate story. The local newspaper could provide the administrative infrastructure. There could also be a tiered system of influence in the choice of reporter by readers. For example, a donation of $100 ( or whatever amount) is made would allow the reader to help choose the reporter for the story. Reporters could send their CV / application which would be accessible to the donaters on the web and those who donated the prescribed amount could choose the reporter to do the job by online voting.

People who do not donate can still be engaged in the funding by buying the individual story that has been commissioned by readers like themselves.   The model of local action with global transmission already exists with organisations such as Avaaz. We can take the idea of Reporters Without Borders to its logical conclusion – Reporters Without Media Mogul Borders.
