What do the Stars Say? Australian Federal Election 2019 – Scott Morrison

March 14, 2019

Since the day for election has not been called yet this reading will include ALL possible dates. I will only look at the transits relevant to Bill Shorten and Scott Morrison for the period between now 5 March and 17 June, 2019.

The possible Election dates are 11 May, 18 May, 25 May and 1 June. So, just look at the dates of the transits (planets passing over the birth position of planets) to see what may eventuate. If you are too impatient to read the whole post I can say that the stars are pointing to an ALP win regardless of which date. However, you may find it interesting to see what the stars are showing week by week & to see if the schedule below is close to what happens day by day¬†ūüôā

Australia’s Chart with transits for all possible Election dates is HERE.

A NOTE about Timing – The dates given are the times when planets are either approaching or moving away from the positions of same at time of birth. Whilst the astronomical data is exact the timing of aspect influence on peoples’ behaviour is NOT – so please make an allowance for this. With weather forecasting it is well known that the further away the time of forecast is the less accuracy there is of an exact time. This would be amplified many times with astrology. Though there may be discrepancies in the EXACT times the general vibe should be there.

Scott Morrison

Starts with 5 deg orb 1 Feb then from 26 Feb to 1 June this aspect is within 1-2deg

Saturn square Saturn:

This is a testing period when the structures of Morrison’s life seem less certain. Aspects of his life which seemed once to offer safety and security become less sure during this transit. It may be that he is viewing these areas differently, or it could be that what he considered to be Bill Shorten’s failure to win “popularity” in the polls may not matter at all. Morrison is being forced to reassess his plans and purpose and while he is required to leave behind any ineffective means of propaganda. It looks like he cannot do it.

This transit forces all of us to reassess what we are doing, our plans, our dreams and our purpose. Saturn square Saturn brings this phase of life sharply into focus – for scrutiny and review – and to an inevitable conclusion. It forces people to determine their priorities and to face certain realities. Morrison has to take a bold step, past the point of no return, away from former attitudes and securities to be able to face a new reality of what Australian people want. His fear campaigns no longer work. The tragedy for him is that he cannot move away from those attitudes.

With Turnbull as PM, LNP may have been able to connect with the new more socially progressive Australia. But the conservative RW side of the LNP cannot change. This Saturn square Saturn transit is making Morrison see what needs to be done but it does not look like he can do it. This overall feeling will be with him right through the whole election campaign along with the following placement of Uranus in the 10th House.

6 March 2019 – Beyond 1 Aug 2019, Transiting Uranus is passing through Morrison’s 10th House

For the whole period of Election Campaign & during the Election he has the “expect anything” Uranus giving his political career path an erratic and changeable feeling. He will need to guard his reputation and his leadership persona during this period, because any insensitive or inappropriate behaviour could backfire on him and cause possible embarrassment and guarantee a failure to win the election.

This vibe will be a backdrop to all the other transits. Already his chances of winning the election don’t look good.

Now compare this with Bill Shorten who has for the same period, transiting Jupiter passing through his 6th House. This shows that his focus is on his relations with his coworkers ie his ALP team. There is a certain wholesome and enjoyable ambience in the ALP atmospherics.

This is in complete contrast to Morrison’s transits in the 10th House.

Mar 11, 2019 (Mar 11, 2019 to Mar 16, 2019) Sun Opposite Natal Pluto

Morrison is directly confronting stuff that has been hidden, forgotten, or ignored for a long time. It seems this has mainly to do with the lack of women representation in the LNP and the “beautiful lump of coal” he brought into Parliament. Could also be earlier racist comments about Islam and Muslims.

There are also issues concerning his personal power and control. Morrison has to walk a fine line between taking too much power which makes him manipulative and tyrannical or too little power by being overly passive. This may point to the partner of LNP – the Nationals, where he can’t be seen to be getting embroiled in its power struggles.

15 March 2019 – 20 March 2019, strongest around 17 March 2019, Transiting Mars Trine Natal Pluto

We may see a sudden transformation during this transit where he may dare to change something about himself, maybe his appearance (wearing an Akubra rather than a baseball cap ūüôā or try to change a perception that has been impeding the election campaign. Morrison may have to surrender or eliminate something from his policy agenda. From what we currently see as an overall it’ll probably have something to do with women, asylum seekers – Islam¬† or the denial of climate change by many in the LNP.

He may try to appear “nicer” because he senses the changing heart of Australians, the fact that people want sick asylum seekers have medical help, that people support same sex marriage. We all know that he can’t appear to be nastier if there’s going to be a transformation.

Morrison has the energy to achieve results now through perseverance and persistence.

Mar 16, 2019 (Mar 15, 2019 to Mar 17, 2019) Sun Opposite Natal Uranus

This transit works with the one above because he may find that through “transforming” his relationships with both the community and his Party, the change may go awry or at least take an unexpected turn. Morrison may have a need for some novelty now, or someone in his Cabinet may need more independence or something outrageous needs to happen to spark things along. This could disrupt the status quo in the Government or just upset him.

Simply, this transit shows that Morrison should expect the unexpected in his relationship with LNP members.

From 16 Feb 4 deg orb 21 March 2019 – 10 June 2019, strongest around 12 April 2019 and 18 May 2019 exact until 13 July 4 deg orb , Transiting Saturn Trine Natal Pluto

No one can say that Morrison is not focused and this transit gives greater powers of concentration and the tenacity to apply himself.

This transit is a time of self-examination and change. If he cannot discipline himself or LNP he may experience this period as a time of restriction and obstacles.

From 18 March 4 deg orb exact 24 March then 30 March 4 deg orb  Transiting Mars Opposite Natal Neptune

This phase may be the pits for Morrison if a situation is stressful and demanding. His energy and confidence are low.
He is in danger of misdirecting his energies or misusing his power now. He will want to run but there’s nowhere he can hide because escapist tendencies are quite strong now.

23 March 2019 Р26 March 2019, strongest around 24 March 2019, Transiting Mars is Trine  Natal Uranus

This transit can inspire Morrison to try something new or out the ordinary. It increases his courage to experiment or to introduce reforms. This is a good time to make changes.

Mar 26, 2019 (Mar 24, 2019 to Mar 27, 2019) Transiting Mars Square Natal Jupiter

Morrison feels optimistic and enthusiastic about new strategies for the Election Campaign. In fact he may be foolishly over-confident and could take on more challenges than he can really meet. He is inclined to take more risks and to act on faith and belief in himself. This can, in fact, be a very productive time for him if he can keep his
expectations within reasonable bounds.

He feels very competitive and confident in his ability to succeed. Negatively, there can be impatience or rashness, conflicts with others and accidents. There can also be budget and perhaps another travel rort problem. Not necessarily his rort but someone in Government.

31 March 2019 – 16 May 2019, Transiting Mars is passing through 11th House

¬†Between 31 March and beginning of May before an Election there could be heated arguments in Morrison’s cabinet. Disputes with his team are also possible now. Morrison will need to take care that he doesn’t alienate his allies or undermine his friendships through wilful or aggressive actions.

3 April 2019 – 19 April 2019, Transiting Jupiter Square Natal Uranus

Expect the unexpected with this transit, occasionally, this transit is preceded by an intense feeling of tension which suddenly releases when it becomes exact. Morrison could annoy others and display a “bloody-minded” attitude or contradict people for the hell of it. If conflicts of any description do arise, it is in Morrison’s best interests to try and nip them in the bud, lest they become exaggerated out of all proportion because with this transit any outcome is difficult to predict.

4 April 2019 and 26 May 2019 (17 Mar 2019 to 14 Jun 2019)

Transiting Saturn Square Natal Saturn

This transit returns in a stronger manner. Like the beat of a drum – it gets louder as it approaches but is in the background since the beginning of February. See the first occurrence of this transit at beginning of this reading.

12 April 2019 to April 14, 2019 Transiting Mercury Opposite Natal Uranus

Morrison will be feeling restless and may find himself in discussions about controversial topics or unusual policy issues – well, unusual for LNP. He may find he will say things in haste that he will regret later. There’s a strong chance that it will make it to the media.

From 25 April 4 deg orb then at May 1 exact then 4 deg orb 7 May, 2019, Mars Square Natal Pluto

This transit makes Morrison excessively willful, domineering or compulsive about doing what HE wants to do. He will battle anyone or anything (including powerful lobby groups) that are an obstacle to what he wants to do. This will create ego conflicts within his party and a furious power struggle may ensue.

This transit can allow Morrison’s inner despot to manifest if challenged.¬†

On the other hand, since we don’t know what the date for the Election is, if it is held on May 1 this transit may well be describing this day and his loss to Bill Shorten.

9 April 2019 – 12 April 2019, strongest around 10 April 2019, Transiting Mars Sextile Natal Ascendant

During this period Morrison can assert himself more easily, without offending or upsetting others in the process.

14 April 2019 – 19 April 2019, strongest around 16 April 2019, Transiting Sun/Jupiter Square Natal Neptune

(I have used a midpoint symbol here which is the midpoint between transiting Sun and transiting Jupiter – Sun/Jupiter)

Morrison has high hopes and wishes but he needs to keep expectations in perspective. There is potential for misplaced confidence and trust. Bad news on the budget may appear.

15 April 2019 – 19 April 2019, strongest around 17 April 2019, Transiting Mars Conjunct Natal Mercury

There is a danger of hasty words or actions during this transit. Morrison should think before he opens his mouth or make important decisions. Seems that arguments are likely within his Party.

If there are protest actions for some LNP policy, violence may appear.

This transit shows that his chances of winning the Election are poor.

From 2 May 4 deg orb then at 9 May exact then 15 May 4 deg orb,  Transiting Mars square Natal Uranus

Potential for accidents during this period. Pressures and arguments caused by inner tensions or stress in either himself or others around him. Morrison should expect the unexpected and perhaps slow down or he will let fly some inappropriate words & perhaps actions. He doesn’t want to be a team player during this period.

If an Election is called during this period then it doesn’t look like a win for Morrison.

May 11, 2019 (May 10, 2019 to May 12, 2019), Sun Trine Natal Pluto

During these days something hidden or forgotten may come to light.

16 May 2019 – 2 July 2019, Transiting Mars is passing through 12th House

At this time, Morrison’s will, drive and resistance are weaker than usual; and anyone who may wish to undermine or work against him, for whatever reason, could be a problem now. He may have a tendency to worry or panic more than normal at the moment.

This may be because if the Election was held, he has lost.

May 22, 2019 to May 24, 2019, Transiting Mercury Conjunct Natal Mars

Morrison is not in a very conciliatory mood now and he is not averse to stirring up unpleasant controversies in defense of his position, idea, plan or policy. He may speak in haste which can be a cause of regret later on.

May 23, 2019 to May 26, 2019, Transiting Sun Conjunct Natal Mars

Morrison feels energetic , confident and assertive now so he is less inclined to be patient with others. He may become angry if he doesn’t get his way or if he is asked to slow down. He will be feeling quite pugnacious and hot tempered unless he took some chill pills or learnt how to meditate.

May 26, 2019 (Mar 17, 2019 to June 14, 2019) Transiting Saturn Square Natal Saturn

This transit returns in a stronger manner. Like the beat of a drum – it gets louder as it approaches but is in the background since the beginning of February. See the first occurrence of this transit at beginning of this reading.

27 May 2019 – 12 June 2019, strongest around 4 June 2019, Transiting Jupiter Square Natal Pluto

During this period Morrison will have a pronounced desire to assert himself. Compulsive behaviour and power plays are common with this transit. This does not auger well for his chances in winning the Election. If he is not careful and he lets loose with an intemperate tongue he may find that people will line up to throw shit on him and to expose all of his darkest secrets.

He has to avoid becoming dogmatic and having a “holier than thou” attitude. This will be difficult for Morrison because he has a born again Prosperity Gospel Christianity baked into his being. He must make efforts to keep his ego out of group / team decisions otherwise he will encounter strong opposition. If he has anything to hide, he won’t be able to now.

Review of Astrological Readings #Election2016

July 11, 2016

Well, it’s taken just over a week for the result to be clear that Malcolm Turnbull won the election. I predicted a Bill Shorten win and I was wrong. I also said that if the result differed from my forecast that people should not blame the Stars but look at my interpretation.

Now is the right time to explain the rationale of my astrological method and I hope when I do you will see the method did produce a correct result, it’s just that I ticked a¬†wrong box.

Using transits as an astrological method of prediction is very old- at least 5,000 years. It is simply seeing where the planets are at a future date from the date and time of birth and looking at these positions together. The birth chart is the blue print of the life and as the planets and stars move across the skies they move over the original blueprint of the life. The positions of these heavenly bodies apart from making angles to each others’ current position also make angles to their original birth position. Thus we have a double chart with the person’s birth chart in the centre and the passing transit planets the outer chart. As we see here:

Turnbull Canberra 2 July 2016 with abbott turnbull face

Bill Shorten photo Canberra 2 July 2016

In the 20th Century, Astrology took on a humanistic approach influenced by psychological theories, especially Carl Jung. Astrological effects, from this perspective, were inner, psychological influences and experiences. Gone were the more ancient concepts of “Good and Bad Stars”, of Stars determining an individual’s Fate. So, “Bad” became “challenging” and “Good” became “harmonious” for the inner world of the individual ie their psychological state.

Looking at and analysing transits from this psychological perspective means that we are looking at the influence of the planets on the inner psychological state of the individual. So “Good” transits will give good, positive emotional experiences and “Bad” transits will give bad, negative emotional experiences. Obviously within this duality of “Good and Bad” there’s a spectrum and within this spectrum there are nuanced interpretations. This is where the Angles and the Orbs come in to assist in reading the nuanced spectrum of emotional experience.

I took the simple formula that if an individual experiences good, positive emotional vibes then the outer world the individual is immersed in will also be positive. So, my simple formula meant that if Bill Shorten or Malcolm Turnbull experienced positive transits then these positive planetary positions signalled a win and vice versa.

The astrological readings of the Election 2016 (written about 3 months before the election) showed that Bill Shorten will experience progressively positive emotional states and that he would grow in confidence until the election and beyond. This is why I called a win for ALP. Conversely, the readings showed that Turnbull was in trouble emotionally and thus he would lose.

What is also interesting about these readings is that at the time of publishing everybody was writing Bill Shorten off. Malcolm Turnbull’s popularity was fading but no mainstream media journalist could see the possibility of an ALP win. The astrological readings here did.

If we look at what happened on 2 July, 2016 РElection Day, psychologically, Bill Shorten was ecstatic and Malcolm Turnbull was not a very happy man.

This is why I said at the beginning of this post that the reading was correct, it was just that I ticked the wrong box because I had the wrong question. If the question was – who would be the happiest on 2 July, 2016, and I answered Bill Shorten, there would be no question about the correctness of my reading.

However, I didn’t answer that question. I answered who would win the election and I was wrong.

I also tried an experimental reading a few days before the election because I and others wanted something a bit more current than the readings I made three months before. As we all know, the planets move at their own inexorable pace and the only way I could think of giving us another more current view was to do something different. I decided that since the election would affect our country, Australia, perhaps a transit analysis of Australia on Election day would give us an insight.

Some people are surprised that a country can have an astrological chart too. The reality is that ANYTHING that has a beginning or a birth can have a chart. There are stock market traders who use astrology to trade companies and corporations who use the birth of the company as its horoscope! Many Forex traders take note of the day to day transits over Foreign Exchanges Рlike London, New York ,Sydney and Tokyo. People would be surprised to learn that many Asian businesses and stock market traders use their own native methods of Astrology to assist their projections and investment strategies.

Events also have a birth and I have used this for the Cultural Stomp 1997, Woomera 2002, Baxter 2003 and the Flotillas of Hope 2004. I have also used it for some important TAFE projects I managed.¬†Mind you, I never told anyone who worked with me at TAFE I did this because I knew they’d think I was crazy. Not bragging here, but I won National and State TAFE Quality Awards for different projects I initiated and coordinated that had astrological support. The astrological readings of these gave me insights I could never get from any other source and the confidence to push ahead and be immersed in the events. Astrology also gave me the appropriate time ¬†to leave TAFE and start on another journey in my life.

Coming back to Australia and its horoscope – I read the transits of the Election Day and I saw that the Election would be very close and a result delayed for quite a while. I did the reading on 30 June, 2016 and that is exactly what happened. Indeed, it took over a week for Bill Shorten to concede defeat and we still don’t know the final result yet as of today, 10 July, 2016.

Election Bi Chart Canberra transit with Australia

I found doing Australia’s Chart an interesting challenge because I couldn’t empathise in a “psychological” way as I did with Shorten and Turnbull because I was dealing with a country. I had to refocus my “imagining” and surprisingly it took an engine like imaging where the planetary forces became “brake and accelerator” like. It is difficult to describe but I will just say it was an energetic reading whereas the Shorten/Turnbull readings were psychological.

Some have asked me to continue my astrological readings given the current state of play in Australia’s governance. If I do I will have to work out how to read the Senate and its relationship to the Government. Do I use the day the new Senate sits for the first time as its Birth date? What about Bill Shorten and Malcolm Turnbull, will regular astrological updates assist in reading the political ambience? I don’t know but I’m willing to explore these possibilities.

Thanks to all who have supported me in my astrological deliberations. I do this because it’s fun and because I now know there are others who find it interesting I may continue exploring this incredible and mysterious mode of “knowing” in Australian politics.

Predicting Election Results with Astrology

April 1, 2016

The chances of accurately predicting an election by pollsters and journalists are pretty dismal. If I toss a coin, there’s a 50:50 chance of being right. That’s not bad compared to some political commentators’ predictions.

A few years ago¬†I came across an interesting article that said nearly 80% of astrologers who attempted, accurately predicted the 2012 USA Election outcome at least 3 months and one 26 years before hand! In his 1976 book ‚ÄúThe Astrological Chart of the United States, from 1776 to 2141‚ÄĚ Gar Osten wrote that the year 2012 would see the ‚Äúre-election of the incumbent president‚ÄĚ.

Intrigued I looked further into it because an 80% correct result is not bad considering most mainstream media had written Obama off before the election. A prediction 26 years beforehand is mind blowing.

I looked into each of the astrologers’ forecasting methods and predictive techniques. I wanted to filter out all approaches that were foreign to my approach and/or would require a level of expertise I didn’t have. By the end of this looking I found one I could adapt to my approach.

It was the simplest.

Now, I’m aware that most of you reading this have a critical and sceptical view on astrology.

For this reason, I‚Äôve wracked my brains over how to structure what I want to say about the coming election because I use astrology as a tool for understanding life. If I wasn‚Äôt using this tool to make sense of current political atmospherics and wrote an opinion piece instead, I‚Äôd have no worries. For some reason the mention of astrology gets peoples’ backs up and they immediately throw an Art that works with Time into the recycle bin.

Most people are happy to read opinions and commentary based on other biased opinions and commentary churned out in mainstream media. An opinion based on astronomical data ie number, generated by an active imaginative interpretation of this is “superstitious”. However, an opinion based from within a Press Gallery Reality Bubble is not. Is the Press Gallery commentary scientific? No, just an opinion embalmed in a mainstream media consensus reality.

The stars and planets I’m concerned with are archetypal forces (Carl Jung), mytho-poetic currents within humanity. Astrology for me is a means of exploring the edges of rational thought as it touches the unknown. The horoscope is like a semi permeable membrane, it can suspend the ordinary associative processes of the mind and allow a different kind of attention to manifest. This attention, striking off from the symbolic elements of the horoscope gives a different kind of mind environment. Psychologists call it imagination.

JUng collective unconscious

Diagram from: http://uregina.ca/~lawlorda/jung/jung.htm

This way of looking at astrology is not accepted by most astrologers because it banishes star forces, energies, vibrations etc of the external planets and stars. This way of looking at astrology is troublesome for many because it says there is NO intrinsic meaning to the planets. It also points the way to divination. Divinatory astrology puts it on par with other mantic arts – like Tarot and the I Ching. To many astrologers this is anathema because they like to consider it as a “science”.

Some have referred to this kind of astrology as Hermeneutic Astrology:

Hermeneutics is the study of meaning, of how we arrive at our interpretations of things. In the context of astrology the term implies a turning away from the common assumption that a fixed astrological meaning is simply “there”, in front of us, as some sort of fact of nature. The hermeneutic inquiry in astrology reveals the essential dependency of the meaning of symbols on the act of interpretation of that meaning. Seen in this way, horoscope interpretation involves something other than a supposed pre-existent meaning waiting to be decoded, and depends both on the context in which meaning is sought, as well as on the intentionality of the one making the interpretation.” (Cornelius, Geoffrey, C. 1994. “The Moment of Astrology: Origins in Divination”)

jung archetypes

I like to consider this way of looking at astrology as a poetic interpretation of astronomical data. Poetry from numbers and geometry – active imagination in action. The calculations and the process of symbolising are just a pretext to occupy the conscious mind. The complexity of nuance and context for symbolising engages the rational mind while the REAL work is done by the broader and more holistic unconscious. This unconscious insinuates “meaning” beyond the logical limits of rational “complexity”. So, my manner of working these “complexities” is to treat them as a long Zen Koan and the Sky Map – Horoscope as a Yantra.

One can explore consciousness and imagination¬†deeper and look at the structures of mind¬†and the material that appears as is done in various and diverse ways by¬†Phenomenology. I just like to play on the edge of reason, that spot between sanity and insanity, where all the wild creatures are ūüėČ

Sometimes, in flickering moments, astrologising can be vision. A ‚Äúvision ‚Äď feeling‚ÄĚ into another world that is holographic in structure, energetic and alive. In these rare glimpses, a human and the universe are seen as the same organism. As above so below, Hermes Trismegistus says. A different relationship exists between things ‚Äď or at least that is what appears when astrological Sun glasses are worn.

Here are two articles by Geoffrey Cornelius that¬†point to a¬†way I look at Astrology Practice ‚ÄúAstrology as Divination‚Ä̬†and ‚ÄúIs Astrology Divination and Does it Matter?‚ÄĚ

Below are posts in my blog which give further insight into my approach:

Star Code Reading > Malcolm Turnbull & 2 July, 2016 Election

March 11, 2016

Australia Votes on  2 July, 2016.

When I did the Abbott readings I was lucky in that I also had his Time of Birth. With both Shorten and Turnbull there is no record of their Times of Birth. This means that one of the most significant signs in reading Astrological Charts ‚Äď the ‚ÄúAngles‚Ä̬†is¬†missing. ¬†This reading thus has crucial data missing but one must work with what one has. Even without that data, it is possible to get a ‚Äúweather‚ÄĚ forecast in the fog of the present.

Please see Australia’s Chart for more details regarding Time of Birth.

I will take the planets as passing over Canberra at 6 PM because that’s when most voting booths close in East Coast of Australia. We would be looking at about 85% of Australia’s population.

It’s important that we also look at what the planetary patterns are just leading up to that date.

This is not the place to argue the case for this ancient Art. If you are interested in how I perceive Astrology please click on these links on my blog.

Astrology is not science – it’s an Art. It uses astronomical data to alchemise meaning. It is a symbolic/mythic dowsing tool on dry number landscape. It sees quality in quantity informed by symbolism & mythology. In other words, it is a poetic interpretation of the Heavens above, a type of symbolic imagination in action.

Here are two articles by Geoffrey Cornelius that¬†point to a¬†way I look at Astrology Practice “Astrology as Divination”¬†and “Is Astrology Divination and Does it Matter?”

I also “play” with the I Ching which informs the way I “play” with Astrology as divination.

I recommend if you want to know more about astrological symbolism as used here visit¬†Wikipedia’s Horoscope¬†.

This reading is based on just one technique of Astrological forecasting ‚Äď reading transits. I will also look at other methods to see if there is a congruence of readings.

Turnbull Canberra 2 July 2016 with abbott turnbull face

Aust PMs Fire Earth

Abbott was the first Australian Prime Minister to be a Scorpio. Turnbull is the second. What is interesting is that he JUST makes it as a Scorpio. His Sun is 0 degrees 07 minutes Scorpio. In other words, he is less than a quarter of a degree away from being a Libra. This is why the picture in the centre of the chart above shows the two combined faces of Abbott and Turnbull.

It’s funny how this astrological coincidence also reflects itself in the policies of the “new” LNP. How? There is no difference between the “old” Abbott LNP and the “new” Turnbull LNP policy wise. So, it’s a perfect image of the current¬†Prime Minister – a Janus faced leader who presents one ¬†face to reactionary hard core Abbott Conservative dick heads and another to progressives who still believe he will bring compassion. Turnbull can’t and he won’t.

Turnbull Abbott Cartoon

Sydney Morning Herald 28 March, 2016 – Cathy Wilcox

We find that at the beginning the planetary patterns for Turnbull look positive but as we get closer to the Election we see that the Stars do not agree with the media “honeymoon”¬†and that this will dissipate as we approach June.

By the end of ¬†June¬†we will witness Turnbull’s¬†inner “despot” which is just as ugly as Abbott’s but more suave and nuanced. Media will probably skirt over it but the Australian people won’t be fooled.

The dates below are when the angles between the planets are EXACT. As the angle is approached the influence is stronger than after it is exact ie the period BEFORE the EXACT is stronger than AFTER the EXACT.

Please see¬†Aspects and Angles, Orbs and Waxing/Waning for an explanation of how this works in Astrology¬†in Australia’s Chart by clicking here.

10 March Р15 March, 2016 >> Mars sextile (60 degrees) Mars

Turnbull’s energy is high and it looks like it is in sync with the actions of others. T
his is a phase of accomplishment, and a good time to work on the budget.

29 March Р1 June >> Neptune trine (120 degrees) Saturn

Turnbull’s natural optimism finds resonance with this once-in-a-lifetime transit. It brings a healthy mix of idealism and realism and he is able to work very hard now in a practical fashion in order to realise his goals. He knows what he wants and what changes need to be made to achieve it. However, it doesn’t mean that he will be able to achieve what he wants because of the right wing members of his government. Never the less he is pursuing his aims in a positive frame of mind.

It may appear to others that he is denying his real ideals, but actually he just knows what can be done and doesn’t want to be burdened with fighting the right wing of his party. He sees this as excess baggage which can be left behind – for now. ¬†Because of his sincerity and good judgement, he will gain the respect of his progressive peers.

A word of warning about Neptune. While it is associated symbolically with idealism and at times poetic sensibility and mysticism, it is also associated with delusion and gullibility. His Sun has a conjunction with Neptune. This means that they are nearly on top of each other. Remember the Grech Utegate affair and his $10 million grant to the Rain Maker Рa nephew of Rupert Murdoch?

Turnbull, according to this planetary pattern has poor discernment and judgement.

So, whilst this aspect seems to auger well, it could also be he is deluding himself and the people with his “smooth” approach.

 24 March Р30 March, 2016 >> Mars sextile (60 degrees) Mars

Turnbull’s energy is high again and it looks like it is in sync with the actions of others. This is a phase of accomplishment, and a good time to work on the budget.

27 March, 2016 >> Mars conjunct (0 degrees) Venus

He is feeling “frisky” and flirtatious. His creative energies are strong. There could be arguments if people in his party don’t return his “positive” energy.

I’m trying an experiment here with the April Star Code Readings. I am using shorter orbiting planets to give shorter time frame readings. I will post them just before the week coming up.¬†

April 3 to about April 10, 2016 >>  Mercury (the planet of Communication) is forming a pattern with 4 other planets РNeptune, Uranus, Jupiter and Mars that augers troubling communications between Turnbull, his Government and the Australian people.

April 3 – April 5 >> Mercury opposite (180 degrees) Neptune

His communication is mixed and confused, with much misunderstanding, if not deception. His thinking is foggy and he is more gullible, swayed by feelings, ideals rather than real situations as they are.

Think Grech Utegate but not as dangerous. Perhaps it points to his misplaced trust and loyalty to Arthur $inodino$ (To respect Bob Ellis last wish he asked people to write Sinodinos name in that manner.). This is one of the least favourable times for Turnbull to make policy decisions or react to events that require clear thinking.

April  5 Р April 6 >> Mercury Square (90 degrees)  Uranus

Uranus is the planet of the unexpected so Turnbull needs to be flexible and as agile as he talks about so that he can think on his feet. He will be pulled in many directions jumping from one thing to another very quickly. He may scatter his energy doing this.

If Bill can find something to distract Turnbull even more it will be to ALP’s advantage.

On the positive side for Turnbull, he may come up with an original plan that may appear crazy at first but may come to be useful.

April  5 Р April 6 >> Mercury Square (90 degrees) Jupiter

In keeping with the other planets relationship with Mercury, this square to Jupiter points to a disinclination to look at all the details, fine print and all the facts of situations so there may be an error of judgement.

April  5 Р April 7 >> Mercury Square (90 degrees) Mars

Turnbull will make errors in haste, he may speak too forcefully, use sharp words on impulse. Accidents may occur due to restlessness and impatience.

He feels that he has to fight for what he wants or believes in, and he is very clear, decisive, and convincing right now, but he also tends to stir up more controversy or competitive feelings than is really necessary.

4 April,2016 ¬†>> Herald Sun ¬†¬†Malcolm Turnbull’s a Dud

Turnbull dud Herald Sun 4 April

April 16 РApr 18, 2016 >> Sun Square (90 degrees) Uranus

Parliament Recalled April 18, 2016

Turnbull’s¬†¬†usual routine is likely to be disrupted now, either by “freak” accidents beyond his¬†control or by his own impatience with the status quo. This impatiance is shown by his push to have the ABCC legislation through so that he gets his Double Dissolution Election. Stars show sudden unexpected events, and breaking free of confining situations and relationships are very ¬†likely. This could be the recalling of Parliament, an even that hasn’t happened in over 30 years.

April 18 Р April 19, 2016 >> Sun Square (90 degrees) Jupiter

Turnbull feels optimistic and possibly extravagant now. He is less cautious than usual, feeling that nothing can possibly go wrong.  If he is inclined to go to excesses in any manner, this tendency is exaggerated at this time.

April 18 Р April 20, 2016 >>  Sun Opposite (180 degrees) Sun

This is a time for him to¬†¬†get others’ opinions and feedback about¬†himself and what he¬†is¬†doing. Relationships of all types are activated now and cooperation, compromise, and adjustments to others’ viewpoints are key issues that require his attention. If he compromises with the hard right of LNP we may see him push their agenda. This depends on the strength of the moderates. However, we must remember Howard got rid of most of them.

April 20 РApril 22, 2016 >>  Sun Square (90 degrees) Mars

Turnbull feels he knows just what he wants right now and woe to anyone or anything that gets in his way!

He is much more likely to become domineering, pushy, or inconsiderate of others now. Accidents, mistakes made in haste, or ego conflicts may occur due to his impatience and wilfulness.

Positively, his physical energy is high and he could accomplish a great deal.

April 26 РApr 27, 2016 >>  Venus Opposite (180 degress) Neptune

This planetary pattern brings out Turnbull’s more dreamy side. One can say his more idealistic, tolerant, and selfless¬†side¬†in his¬†relationships. This may ¬†cause him¬†to act against his¬†own interests. However, his own interests, since he is Prime Minister and Leader of LNP are broader than just himself.

Decisions involving policy or important commitments, therefore, should probably be made some other time. Remember also that Neptune is an important planet for him because of its proximity to the Sun.

April 30 РMay 1, 2016 >>  Sun Opposite (180 degrees) Saturn

Turnbull will feel that circumstances, other people, or the whole world is against him. He will feel overwhelmed by demands, outside pressures, or his responsibilities and he will be looking at his position with serious doubt or pessimism.

Others don’t seem to help, even if they try to. He needs to be alone pursuing some solitary activity or to reflect on his situation.¬†He probably won’t be able to get away to do this because of his responsibilities. He is not a happy chap.

This does not auger well for the release of Federal Budget on 3 May, 2016.

13 May, 2016 – Interesting observation made by Eddy Jokovich that Turnbull admits he’s going to lose because the Election Campaign material does not mention the Liberal Party but just the Turnbull Coalition Team label.

Twitter Turnbull's Party from newpolitics dot com

4 June, 2016 >> Mars trine (120 degrees) Uranus

There are changes in the wind as Turnbull replaces outworn elements (they could be MP’s or policies) with “exciting” new facets. He feels he can accomplish the extraordinary.

7 June Р23 July, 2016 >> Mars square (90 degrees) Pluto

¬†This pattern has been in the background for a while now, like a barely audible drumbeat. This drumbeat has an¬†¬†Abbott “tone”. Now we can hear it loud and clear. Turnbull’s inner despot may appear if he is challenged by his colleagues over any of the changes he wishes to implement.

We may witness angry scenes and disharmony. The apparent “unity of purpose” of the LNP ¬†Government Turnbull wants to show the Australian people may be exposed as bull shit.

It is this pattern which forecasts Turnbull’s chances of winning the Election are poor.

Twitter Turnbull Abbott rear view mirror

Conclusion

This reading is based on just one technique of Astrological forecasting ‚Äď reading transits. I will also look at other methods to see if there is a congruence of readings.

Turnbull’s Election chart is a strange combination of positive and negative – like sweet and sour sauce. Everything looks like it is going beautifully and smoothly. However, underneath this facade, which our mainsteam media ignore, is the presence of the Right Wing Crusaders who cannot bear Turnbull. Abbott is their mascot and as we approach July in the weeks before, things may explode for his government.

Given the positive reading of Shorten’s chart and comparing it with this Turnbull chart, I conclude that Bill Shorten will win the election ¬†on 2 July, 2016.

I will also look at other techniques to see if there is agreement with these readings.

A Note on Timing Events

A principle that many people confuse is how synchronicity appears. Carl Jung coined this term to label experiences which may not be connected causally but are connected subjectively by being meaningful to the person.

With synchronicity the elements of experience which are connected subjectively show that correlation is not necessarily causation. So, just because skirt¬†hems go up doesn’t mean that this causes stock prices to go up (Skirt Length Theory). This is just an interesting correlation.

Celestial phenomena can be seen acting as signs rather than causes. Just as a clock on the wall is capable of telling you that it is 9:00 in the morning without actually being the cause or reason that it is 9:00,the planets may be similarly thought to be capable of giving signs of future events without necessarily being the reason that those events occur.

So with Astrology just because certain planetary patterns coincide with certain events does not mean that these planetary patterns cause the events!

Timing events in Astrology ¬†seeks the time when certain planet orbits and angles between the planets¬†happen. When certain angles eg conjunction (0 degrees between two planets), opposition (180 degrees) and squares (90 degrees) happen exactly then an event congruent with the planet may happen. This does NOT mean that this combination of planetary motion caused the event. It is a happy coincidence ūüôā

The larger the orbits of the planets the longer the time which is covered in the reading. So, a Pluto / Jupiter angle can cover a very long period of time but a Moon / Mercury a very short time.

These readings have only looked at relatively long spans of time like months and weeks.  I may take a closer look later when we are sure about the election date with shorter time frames.

Star Code Reading > Bill Shorten & 2 July, 2016 Election

March 9, 2016

Australia Votes on  2 July, 2016.

What are the planetary configurations for both Bill Shorten and Malcolm Turnbull for that day?

This post is about Bill Shorten. My conclusions here are also based on what I’ve read in Malcolm Turnbull’s chart.¬†When I did the Abbott readings I was lucky in that I also had his Time of Birth. With both Shorten and Turnbull there is no record of their Times of Birth. This means that one of the most significant signs in reading Astrological Charts – the “Angles”¬†is¬†missing. ¬†This reading thus has crucial data missing but one must work with what one has. Even without that data, it is possible to get a “weather” forecast in the fog of the present ūüôā¬† Please see Australia’s Chart for more details regarding Time of Birth.

I will take the planets as passing over Canberra¬†at¬†6 PM because that’s when most voting booths close in East Coast of Australia. We would be looking at about 85% of Australia’s population.

It’s important that we also look at what the planetary patterns are just leading up to that date.

It’s interesting that the planets affecting Bill’s life and destiny before July 2 are the same planets on 2 July, the election date. The reason this is so is because Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto have long periods of orbit and thus their effects are ¬†felt for a longer period of time.

This means that what we see now in March planet positions are the germinating seeds that will blossom on July 2, 2016.

7 March Р31 May, 2016 >> Pluto trine (120 degrees) Natal Pluto

A great planetary pattern forming is Pluto making a positive angle (trine) with Bill’s natal Pluto. This shows there is much progress in his life and ¬†he has the ability to be flexible and incorporate change smoothly and successfully towards his goal and aim – to defeat Turnbull.

Bill has the resources to make the needed changes and the power to adapt embracing new needs. His past behaviour that held him captive will be discarded, paving the way to success.

10 March –¬†7 July, 2016 >> Jupiter conjunct (0 degrees) Pluto

With Pluto and Bill’s natal Pluto pattern, another great transit that only occurs once every 12 years is also occurring. Jupiter over the top of Pluto¬†is very significant in Bill’s chart. This shows the dominant issue confronting him is the use or abuse of power. It also shows a great push towards reaching his goals. He feels as if he can move mountains in order to achieve his aims. He’s in a very good place inwardly and feels more compelled than usual to strive for success and take down Turnbull. This feeling and the events that crystallise around him now are the fruits and culmination of long term efforts. These fruits are the rewards of the discipline shown in ALP since last election.

As with anything that has to do with Pluto power, it is crucial that Bill uses this burst in a positive manner and not to manipulate others in games of one-up-manship. This power blast can be overwhelming if not handled correctly. These Pluto effects are very Karmic in nature and thus Bill must be aware of what he is sowing because he will definitely reap it.

Bill will rise to  perceived power and will carry Labor over into a more confident space to take on Turnbull and the LNP over the next few months. This period of time is very positive for Labor to announce more policies that will differentiate itself from the Liberals.

23 March, 2016 >> Saturn sextile (60 degrees) Mars

This is a good time for Bill to direct his energies toward planning and policy development making announcements slowly and thoroughly. This will ensure whatever new policies Labor undertakes will be more likely to succeed.

Bill has a practical and reasonable attitude which can help ALP achieve its goals more easily. It would be a good idea for Bill and Labor to join forces with other groups like Greens and Independents for particular issues against Turnbull and the LNP.

Bill has remarkable endurance now and he can work long and hard to bring ALP ideas to fruition. He is not in the mood to give up and will be very thorough. Saturn brings a more disciplined ambience to his work. He will appear more conservative than at other times but the discipline that ensues from this transit will accomplish much. This will be achieved by the discipline ALP demonstrates under Bill’s leadership and not by mere luck.

During this time it is crucial the projects undertaken be done with great attention to detail and with patience. Mainstream  media will be hunting to try and find any hole or contradiction in Labor policy announcements.

April 17 Р18, 2016  >> Mercury  Trine (120 degrees) Pluto

There is greater depth to Bill’s statements. He will be asking very penetrating questions of others and will not be satisfied with superficial answers by LNP. This is an excellent time to start an investigation into a complex ¬†issue. He may revisit some lost policy positions of old Labor.

April 17 Р18, 2016  >>  Sun Square (90 degrees) Jupiter

He is optimistic and possibly extravagant now, less cautious than usual, feeling that nothing can possibly go wrong.

He will also aim higher than usual  Рmaybe a policy position that will surprise because of its boldness. This planetary pattern also points to possibility of a very promising opportunity occurring.

April 18, 2016 РMay 31, 2016 >>  Pluto trine (120 degrees) Pluto

This pattern read earlier on March 7 & will build up strength until May 31 Рemphasised again.

April 19, 2016 to April 22, 2016 >>  Mercury  Conjunction (0 degrees) Sun

Bill’s communication skills are excellent and he makes himself perfectly clear at this time. He is coming across in a very direct, articulate manner. His honesty and
willingness to communicate openly impresses people – even mainstream media! This is a good time for him to give a speech, present his ideas and broad ALP vision.

This planetary pattern is ideal for the Leader of the Opposition because it allows for a fruitful communication to the Australian people of complex ideas and policies in a forthright manner.

April 20, 2016  to April 21, 2016 >> Mercury  Trine (120 degrees) Uranus

Bill will experience sudden insights, make discoveries, come up with fresh solutions to old problems, and seek alternatives to the usual routine way of doing things.

His mental processes are speeded up and he can move more quickly now. Must try to make room for a lot of spontaneity and flexibility in his schedule at this time.

April 20, 2016 to April 23, 2016 >>  Mercury Conjunction (0 degrees) Mercury

Again this aspect of Mercury making a direct connection with his natal Mercury  heightens his ability to comprehend and articulate new concepts, his mental sharpness and clarity. It also gives the power to  verbalize and articulate  ideas very well at this time.

Bill’s intellectual curiosity is also high. This is an excellent time to make plans
and strategies¬†to destroy LNP’s chances and win the election.

April 24, 2016 to May 4, 2016 >>  Mercury Opposite (180 degrees) Neptune

This pattern culminates on Anzac Day (April 25) and whilst the earlier patterns show great communication prowess and clarity in his mental processes, this pattern is  one of the least favourable times to make decisions as his communication with others is likely to be fraught with misunderstanding or even unconscious deception.

His thinking is rather fuzzy now and he is more gullible or swayed by feelings, images, and ideals rather than seeing situations and people as they are.

However, like a musical chord, the vibrations of this pattern may be subsumed within the broader tune being played out. Sometimes a little disharmony adds much needed tension to ensure an anticipated outcome.

It is interesting that both Bill and Turnbull have Neptune in a prominant place in their natal charts. Turnbull has Neptune conjunct (0 degrees) Sun, while Bill has Neptune opposite (180 degrees) his Sun.

April 27, 2016 >>  Mars Trine (120 degrees) Saturn

Rather than repeat what I wrote earlier with this pattern please see March 31, 2016 to May 3, 2016.

It is repeated here because of the movement of Mars. It shows that the planetary inluence mentioned earlier is revved up again here at this time.

5 May, 2016 and returning 13 May, 2016 >> Jupiter square (90 degrees) Moon

Although this angle, square – 90 degrees is usually considered to be times of difficulty, with Jupiter the results are usually very favourable. Bill’s emotions will be emphasised during this transit, and he will seek to establish strong relationships with others. He will be particularly patient and sympathetic toward other peoples’ problems now, and will probably help others more freely at this time. He will be protective of his “comrades” and will feel a strong solidarity with his ALP colleagues.

Bill will feel strongly at this time the injustices of the LNP perspective and policies. We may witness a sense of moral outrage when he sees some person or a group of people being treated unfairly. He will have little tolerance for such injustices now and he will be prone to becoming very emotional about them. However, he must be careful not to become self-righteous and narrow minded. He has to not appear bitter towards the conservative right wing creeps who are perpetrating these injustices. The reason being, that Murdoch’s NewsCorpse will use this “bitterness” and anger against him.

2 June, 2016 >> Mars trine (120 degrees) Jupiter

There may be some positive news and rewards for past good works in the Union movement. The policy and announcements are progressing smoothly. All is good.

30 June, 2016 >> Pluto square (90 degrees) Mars

¬†This is another once-in-a lifetime transit that is intensely powerful. Like all Pluto transits, the greatest difficulty is that there are power games at play. You can’t beat an Election as an expression of Power. This transit is expressing the tension that is present in such an event and how it manifests in Bill’s life. There will be altercations, fights and general heavy vibes ¬†testing his ego and others in his presence. There could also be a disruption beyond his control.

Bill’s drive to succeed is incredibly strong now and he is likely to gain the Prime Ministership. However, he must be careful that he does not step on the backs of others to reach his¬†goals because these gains may not last long as Karma will turn them like a boomerang against him.

Luckily for Bill the tremendous urges to transform this transit brings are being directed to a worthy cause that will benefit our country Рthe ousting of the Conservative Liberal National Party and putting the Australian Labor Party in power again.

 Conclusion

This reading is based on just one technique of Astrological forecasting – reading transits. I will also look at other methods to see if there is a congruence of readings.

ALP has learnt its lessons from the Rudd –¬†Gillard – Rudd period. It is solid, together and united¬†in focus and purpose.¬†Importantly it has a story, a narrative that is connected with an over arching theme – FAIRNESS. It is also positioning itself against the interests of the 1% and for the interests of the rest of us. Bill Shorten has kept the ALP united and has shown there is a difference between Labor and the conservative LNP.

Given the momentum and trajectory of energies displayed in Bill’s¬†planetary patterns for an early election on 2 July, it looks like he will win.

Star Code Reading > Australia’s Astrological Chart

March 3, 2016

Some general observations:

Since Federation, fire and earth signs have been in charge for 96 years out of a possible 112.

The first Scorpio Prime Minister was Tony Abbott and the second Malcolm Turnbull.

Bill Shorten is a Taurus which is an Earth sign and Tanya Plibersek Deputy Leader is Sagittarius – a Fire sign.

Time of Birth Issues

The reality is that if the Time of Birth is not known then precise readings are not possible. In Astrology, some of the most important signs are the Angles which are determined by an accurate Time of Birth.¬†Most astrologers consider the transits of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto to the Angles, the Ascendant and Midheaven, to be among the most important transits in a person’s life.

However¬†an error in the birth time of just 15 minutes can make the timing of these transits to Angles off by a minimum of two months (when the outer planet is moving quickly and the ascendant sign is of long ascension — like Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio in Northern latitudes) to over one year if the outer planet is moving slowly (i.e. near its station), to a maximum of seven years for someone with Pisces or Aries, short ascension signs in the Northern Hemisphere, rising!

In other words, unless the birth time is very accurate, the timing of transits to Angles must be considered impossible to determine with any precision.

However, if we only consider the angles between planets (aspects) we may get a picture of what may lay ahead – maybe a bit fuzzy about the timing, but at least something.

There will be  links to the charts  showing the transiting planets over their charts during July, August, Sept and October because we do not have a date for the Election as of this writing. When we know the date I can then concentrate & focus on that date to gain a clearer picture.

Aspects and Angles, Orbs and Waxing/Waning

Orb

The orb of an aspect is how far from exact it is. For example, a square aspect is 90 degrees. If 2 planets are separated by 91 degrees (or by 89 degrees) then the 2 planets are in square aspect with a 1 degree orb. In other words they are 1 degree from being in exact square aspect.

The larger the orb, the weaker the aspect. An aspect with a small orb is very powerful. Some astrologers use much larger orbs than others. The allowable orb for a square aspect is believed by some astrologers to be as little as 2 or 3 degrees, and by some to be as large as 10 or 12 degrees.

Although this difference of opinion may be great, probably it is not as great as it seems because virtually all astrologers agree that the narrower orb makes the aspect much more powerful so astrologers who use very small orbs like to focus their interpretation on influences that are really powerful and salient in the person’s life.

Applying/Separating

An applying aspect is an aspect that is becoming stronger, while a separating aspect is one that is becoming weaker.

For example, suppose that a person has the Moon 89 degrees ahead of the Sun in the birthchart. Because the Moon always travels faster than the Sun and it is 89 degrees ahead of the Sun, then we know that it is in the process of becoming more exact; in other words it is an applying aspect.

On the other hand, if the Moon was 91 degrees of the Sun, the square aspect would be separating. Some astrologers feel that an applying aspect is more significant than a separating aspect because the applying aspect is more powerful and a more pressing challenge for the person whereas the waning aspect is not as critical, more of a waning issue in a person’s life.

Most astrologers, however, do not put a great deal of emphasis (or any emphasis at all) on whether an aspect is applying or separating.

Waxing/Waning

A waxing aspect occurs when an aspect formed as the faster planet moves towards being opposition from the slower planet, and a waning aspect occurs when the faster planet is returning back to conjunction to the slower planet.

Examples: If the Sun is at 10 degrees of Gemini and the Moon is at 9 degrees of Leo, this is an applying, waxing aspect with a 1 degree orb because the faster planet (the Moon) is heading towards the exact sextile aspect (applying), and it is moving from conjunction towards opposition (waxing). If the Moon is at 11 degrees of Leo, it is separating and waxing also with a 1 degree orb. if the Moon is at 9 degrees of Aries, it is applying and waning with a 1 degree orb, and if the Moon is at 11 degrees of Aries, then it is separating and waning also with a 1 degree orb.

Enjoy ¬†ūüôā

This anomaly can be explained in part by Saturn conjunct the Sun. ¬†Saturn in the sign of Capricorn signifies conservative values play a strong role in Australia’s people. We are pragmatic so we do embrace new ideas if they are practical. We take up new technology faster than any other country.

The “cultural cringe” Australians suffer from stems for this placement of Saturn so close to the Sun. However, this doesn’t mean we are not able to put ourselves “out there” and succeed. Australia acts with decisiveness, determination and perseverance.

Aries Ascendant

Australians are frank, pioneering, headstrong and self reliant. We revel in anything that enables us ¬†to take the initiative, avoiding following other people’s lead in preference for striking out into new territory.

This is emphasized in the chart with the Sun and the planet Mars coming  into contact showing that Australians are hard working and energetic, able to tackle most challenges with confidence and a positive attitude.

We  like to be first. We value challenges, particularly those that test us physically and  mentally. We love our sport!

Mars in 5th House 45 degrees Pluto and Uranus

Having Aries as the Ascendant means Australia’s¬†Ruling Planet is Mars which is in the 5th House. ¬†Mars has a 45 degree aspect with both Pluto and Uranus. This shows that through application and effort Australia attains great goals. Though small in population, Australia attains results expected from a much larger country as this aspect leverages flecks of genius. This aspect also shows why Australians are assertive and blunt, that the upheld middle finger is prominant and we never cower to those who wish to lord it over us. It also shows why we are powerful and have some of the world’s greatest sports people.

This also shows why we are willing to go to war as allies of the USA at a drop of a hat – Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Having Mars in the 5th House and Jupiter (8th House) opposing Neptune (2nd House) explains our place as one of the world’s greatest gambling nations and our love for risk taking. This also is a weakness and the ensuing rampant speculation ¬†causes house prices to sky rocket in major cities and the huge boom-busts in the mining industry.

This Mars placement also shows our love for competitive sports and athletics.

Australians have to be careful and not over indulge in rich food, alcohol (Australians are big drinkers compared with other countries) and expensive toys because this placement also shows a tendency to go overboard.

Mars in the sign of Virgo and being placed in the 5th House shows a great interest in scientific pursuits, especially medicine. We are world leaders in things scientific.

Jupiter in the sign of Sagittarius shows an open, enthusiastic love of life that is infecti0us along with a generous nature. Jupiter in Sagittarius shows an enjoyment in exploring different cultures, religions and beliefs. Another sign that Multiculturalism is Australia’s destiny.

It  also shows a love of sport.

Mercury conjunct (0¬į) Jupiter. This shows ¬†common sense, a constructive intellect and optimism abound in¬†Australians.

Jupiter opposite (180¬į) ¬†Neptune. This aspect shows us as dreamers. It also shows our love for all things druggy. Yes, Australians are the biggest users of psychoactive drugs in the world.

Neptune opposing Jupiter instigates this along with making us spectacular speculators.

Venus conjunct (0¬į) Uranus¬†¬†This makes us extravagant .We¬†are wasteful and we produce four times more greenhouse gases per head of population than Europeans do. Yes, we believe in Climate Change and taking action to alleviate it, while we own the biggest houses in the world, but we baulk if we have to pay for it. A classic example of this is Australians’ reaction to the Carbon Price.

The Australian Election – An Astrological Forecast

August 27, 2013

The forecast below was made on 27 August, 2013. ¬†It was wrong about who will be PM but psychologically was kinda correct. When Rudd accepted defeat he was surprisingly “happy” as the chart showed about his emotions on the night. Abbott may well have experienced a jolt when he recognised his win carried the weight of responsibility of Prime Ministership.

Regardless, I was wrong in my prediction ¬†and I’ve learnt something. One of the things the exercise of drawing up the charts did was it gave me hope for a week. It was also a great mental/emotional exercise in that the process allowed an objectification of feelings and thoughts, so allowed me to be more detached. If the result is seen as a secondary consideration and the process, the means of arriving at the result, is primary then the exercise was a success. This is by no means a rationalisation of getting the wrong result. It is a statement of fact. As the saying goes, it is the journey not arriving at the destination that is the fun part. This is true of astrologising.

Will I do it again? Yes, for all the reasons I stated above. It was an interesting exercise in ordering my feelings, intuitions and thoughts about the Australian Election, 2013.

===================================================================================================================

The stars and planets I’m concerned with are archetypal forces, mytho-poetic currents within humanity.

I like to consider this way of looking at astrology as a poetic interpretation of astronomical data. Poetry from numbers and geometry – active imagination in action.

I‚Äôm reminded of a Zen saying, ‚ÄúDon‚Äôt look at the finger pointing to the Moon, look at the Moon.‚ÄĚ

All this astrological stuff is just a pointing finger.

This is not the place to argue the case for this ancient Art. If you are interested in how I perceive Astrology please click on these links on my blog.

An Astrological Turning

I recommend if you want to know more about astrological symbolism as used here visit¬†Wikipedia’s Horoscope¬†. At times I will link other keywords to brief you.

Here goes ‚Äď if my prediction is wrong, blame it on my reading,¬†not the stars.

“If there is dust on our lens, we see dark spots in the heavens.” Carlos Suares

Astrology has a method that forecasts ‚Äúbackground‚ÄĚ emotional weather of people for a certain time and place. By looking at the position of planets passing over the birth chart, astrology reveals the feelings engendered by the relationship between the planets and their position. The angles between them and their position in the chart speak. It is a language. It‚Äôs kind of geometrical / numerological in nature. Forget science, there‚Äôs no science to this ‚Äď it is structured guessing using faint star signals from the symbols. It is always an approximation, a walk into the dark.

There’s no question that becoming Prime Minister would make either Rudd or Abbott smile, if not dance. Losing would be devastating and a stiff upper lip not enough to hide it.

How will Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott ‚ÄúFEEL‚ÄĚ at 6 PM ¬†September 7, 2013? I assume by then Australia would know who won the election, unless it‚Äôs a hung parliament.

Who will be happy and focussed, looking forward to leading this country as PM? Kevin or Tony?

Who will be shocked by losing and wondering what went wrong? Tony or Kevin?

Who will be happy?

Who will be sad?

Who will be Prime Minister?

The method I’m using shows what feelings / energies are present in the charts of the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition at 6PM September 7, 2013.

The chart with the best ‚Äúfeel good‚ÄĚ vibe is the winner. The prize being government.

Some interesting information:

This will be the 5th Federal Election held in September (1914, 1934, 1940 & 1946)

The 1914 vote is the only September election to have seen an incumbent government defeated.

There has not been a Scorpio Prime Minister elected in Australia since Federation.

That last bit is important because Tony Abbott is a Scorpio. Kevin Rudd is a Virgo.

Prediction

Kevin Rudd will be PM with either a Labor majority or a hung parliament.

How did I come to this conclusion?

Please look at table below which shows what each sign/symbol represents so I don’t have to show each symbol every time I mention it. I am trying to interpret an astrological view point to those who are not literate in star language. For the purposes of this post all you have to do, if you are not familiar with astrological symbolism, is look at the charts and refer to the tables below to know what symbol and position they represent.

Kevin Rudd’s Transits Chart for 7 September, 2013 at 6.00PM

Blog Prediction Rudd Transits 7 Sept 2013

Above, in the centre is Kevin Rudd‚Äôs Birth Chart and the positions of the transiting planets on the outside. It shows the planets‚Äô positions on September 7 over the planets‚Äô positions at the time of Rudd‚Äôs birth ‚Äď the transits. The planets are always moving and when transiting planets ‚Äútouch‚ÄĚ sensitive points on the birth chart, stuff happens. (Planets in Astrology)

¬†Rudd‚Äôs chart shows the transiting Sun ¬†in a section of the chart where mind expansion and open feelings predominate ‚Äď philosophy, higher learning, travel are among the many meanings elicited by the Sun in that section ‚Äď called the ninth House. (Houses in Astrology)¬†Also here, there is a focus on communications ‚Äď with people face to face and through media (transit Mercury over Sun).

I would call the feelings shown as positive, happy, calm and confident.

Notice the crescent shaped symbol of the Moon outside the circle is very close to the line separating the 9th and 10th House. Beneathe the Moon  is Jupiter and both are near the line. This line is the Midheaven, one of the 4 most powerful positions Рthe Angles of a chart. It is at the top of the chart and is the most public point. It relates to social standing and reputation. It represents our public face and our overall sense of responsibility and standing in our society.

It is in this context, the Prime Ministership of our country.

The feelings shown with the various combinations of the Moon, Jupiter and the Mid Heaven line include strong rapport with people and a deep intuitive understanding between them and Rudd. I think it will have something to do with the cutbacks Abbott plans to make along with the inequitable PPL. The planetary combinations also show that Rudd will be able to feel out the mood of the people so that he appeals to their deepest emotional concerns.

Having the Moon in the 10th House is also good for public relations.

Along with the planets nearby, Jupiter has Uranus opposite it at the bottom of the chart. Uranus is the planet of freedom and release. This combination shows there is a deep transformation happening in Rudd’s subconscious. His whole experience of the world will be quite different after this transit. The chart shows that he will feel liberated and vindicated.

He will be mentally sharp and alert because transit Mercury  is conjunct Sun in the 9th House. He will be very conscious of his purpose in leading Labor, and it enables him  to express that purpose clearly to others. His expression will be vigorous and impressive.

Along with this he has tremendous intellectual and mental energy conferred by transit Mercury conjunct Mars. This means that Rudd will feel he is able to work with his mind much longer than usual and accomplish quite a bit. This will give him more confidence about leading Australia as PM.

Kevin Rudd‚Äôs chart at the close of the election shows very positive feelings and thus has ‚Äúfeel good” vibes.

This points to a win.

Tony Abbott’s  Transits Chart for 7 September, 2013 at 6.00PM

Blog Prediction Abbott Transits 7 Sept 2013

Abbott’s chart shows the Sun in the 8th House. When this transit happens (it lasts about a month every year) there is significant psychological adjustment and transformation. Traditionally this is the House of Death, meaning Endings of things. In this context it means a death of some aspect of himself. On a more material level there is great concern about resources and finances. I believe it shows the end of his aspiration to be Prime Minister.

It is not a happy place to be so I would say this planetary combination has a ¬†‚Äúbad feel” vibe.

It is not all bad because he has a good aspect /angle (sextile 60 deg) between the transit Sun and the Sun of his birth chart. This shows an integration of his energies and that he will be able to work effectively with others.

Abbott also has a good angle (trine 120 deg) between transit Jupiter and the Sun which shows he will be calm and confident and feeling he can do anything. He will also be able to see events clearly and plan well.

This is definitely a ‚Äúgood feel” vibe.

Note that the angle between Jupiter and the Sun is not as strong as a conjuction where the planets are on top of each other. All the strong ‚Äúgood vibe‚ÄĚ points in Rudd‚Äôs chart are conjunctions.

Transit Moon directly opposite his birth chart Moon shows powerful emotions making it difficult for him to see any point of view other than his own. Strong potential for disagreement because he will feel his own interests and desires are opposed to others. This feeling may have something to do with losing election.

This is a ‚Äúbad feel‚ÄĚ vibe.

Transit Mars makes a conjunction with Uranus of Abbott’s birth chart. No other transit is more conducive than this one to sudden upsets, rash behaviour and surprising incidents. This will be the shock in finding he has lost the unloseable election.

This is a very ‚Äúbad feel‚ÄĚ vibe.

However, the transit of Saturn conjunct the Sun is what clinches my forecast that Abbott will lose the election. The energy of Saturn holds back the energy of the Sun. Saturn confines and restricts it so that he feels limited to do only certain things. Abbott will feel thwarted and his vision of becoming Prime Minister is now confined to the bin of history.

This also is a very ‚Äúbad feel‚ÄĚ vibe.

When you weigh both Astrological charts from the point of view of¬† being ‚Äúhappy‚ÄĚ it is obvious that Kevin Rudd has the Prime Ministership.

I can only see two possibilities from the above ‚Äď Kevin Rudd becomes Prime Minister with a Labor majority or in a hung parliament. Whichever ‚Äď the next Prime Minister will be Kevin Rudd.
